I love the art of dance and movement. I love choreographing dance and expressing a story behind the performance. I became a Zumba Instructor in April 2012. I wanted to work doing something that allowed me to get back in shape and help motivate others to enjoy life through movement as well as to share my passion for dance with others. I have loved dance since I first saw the Michael Jackson music commercial at the age of 4. Growing up I always looked for an excuse to perform. As Martha Graham said, dance is the hidden language of my soul!
I often seek to improve my person, and take all my experiences as an important lesson learned. I have been married for 7 years and have a wonderful 6 year old son. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington 2009, with a Bachelor’s of International Business in French and I also have a Journalism Associates Degree. I enjoy becoming informed about health, nutrition, parenting, and life! I enjoy learning and sharing what I’ve learned with others. I am passionate about writing, poetry, art, cultures, languages, reading, music and most definitely dance! I am a very motivating person, who keeps and shares a positive outlook in life.
I own Vivé By Design Fitness & Dance studio in Arlington where we teach Salsa, Bachata, Belly Dance and fitness classes. I am on the committee for Dallas Hispanic Firefighters annual 5k Bravest Race, as well as a partner of the Diabetes Outreach program Smart Steps, where I do free fitness classes and Diabetes education throughout the community.
