Ali’s Zin-ful Smash Burger

 

This mouthwatering heap of goodness is SURE to SMASH every craving you have in a zin fully healthy way!

I have been on an eggplant quest lately so I thought I’d share a fun and super tasty burger with eggplant.

I love a good burger and what more can you ask for when you have a combination of flavor and texture and color all in one entree.  AND… it hits all the major food groups!

I know you are biting your lip and your mouth is watering and you may even have a slight headache in anticipation of  getting the ingredients…

So without further ado:

How it’s made:

Ezekiel Sprouted Tortilla (slightly toast in the oven 5 mins)
Alis Slaw:

  • bag of mixed raw slaw (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)
  • chop up raw sweet, anaheim (mild), hungarian (hot), serrano (spicy) peppers, onions and garlic
  • 4 oz rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp organic brown rice syrup (adds a smooth lightly sweetened flavor)
  • 2 tbsp fresh crushed peppercorn and celtic salt (this helps balance the flavor and cut the vinegar)

Lamb /Organic Chicken Patty

  • use 4 oz raw lamb and 4 oz raw organic chicken thigh or breast
    • add meat in a blender (ninja or higher to ensure it can handle pulverizing the meat)
      • note  if you grind longer is breaks the meat down which helps with ease of digestion 🙂
    • add freshly ground celtic salt, crushed peppercorn, jalapeno, onion
    • make 2- 4 0z patties or 4– 2 oz patties
    • cook on med heat in skillet or grill until completely cooked through (note-both poultry and lamb should be cooked completely)

Thick Slice of Eggplant

  • (cut a thick 1/4 – 1/2 in slice of eggplant.
  • grill or baked the eggplant until soft with peppercorn
  • set to the side until ready to add to finished burger

Cook 1 Fried Hard Organic/Cage Free Brown Egg

  • prepare this right before assembling burger to ensure it stays warm

Chop 1 Avocado Into Large Chunks
Chop Cucumber Slices (just to top burger)

Burger Assembly (this is the fun part)

  1. cut or fold ezekiel tortilla in 4 parts so it breaks easily.
  2. lay one triangle piece on a plate
  3. add ali’s slaw
  4. place lamb/chicken burger on top
  5. next put eggplant then egg on
  6. finally top it off with the chunks of avocado and cucumber

and VOILA!!!

Trust me you won’t regret trying this one out!
